On the day, all time slots will have a Parents Association Committee member on hand to welcome you and answer any questions you may have.

Please go to https://goo.gl/k7k5u5 where you will see all available time slots for the two days and follow the instructions on how to sign up.

Minimum time commitment:

90 minutes to 2 hours

Can children help?

Children are welcome to come as long as they are accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times.

Please remember that 90 minutes to 2 hours can be very long for a child, especially the younger ones. You know your child best. Please be aware, you will be very busy packing bags for the duration of your time slot and won’t be able to look after or entertain your child.

What to wear?

We will supply Educate Together T-shirts in sizes medium and large for volunteer adults to wear on the day, so you might like to wear a slim long sleeve top to go underneath. We will also have some Educate Together badges available in case we don’t have the correct size of T-shirt for everybody.

For the little helpers, if they had an Educate Together T-shirt or hoody they are welcome to wear it to promote the school.

However, please note this is completely optional and of course anybody can wear whatever they like.

Is there parking available?

Yes, there is plenty of parking available. The first two hours are free, after that it's €2 for the 3rd hour, to a maximum of €4 per day.

How can I sign up to help?

Sign Up!Please go to https://goo.gl/k7k5u5 or click the sign up button on the right, where you will see all available time slots for the two days and follow the instructions on how to sign up.

What’s the best way to pack bags?

Please ask the customer first if they are happy for you to help them pack their bags. We recommend packing thoughtfully with heavier items on the bottom, lighter things on top. Try to keep similar foods together. Don't place cleaning products and food in the same bag, and please be careful with the eggs!

Remember you are representing the school. Please always be polite and courteous to the supermarket customers and be ready to explain to customers why we are raising funds for the school. It is important to be respectful, friendly and ready with a winning smile!

What happens the day of the event?

The volunteers will meet at the Customer Service desk, at the main entrance on the ground floor, 10 minutes before their time slot starts. A Parents Association Committee member will be there to meet the volunteers at the start of each time slot to update them accordingly.
