This week we celebrated Seachtain na Gaeilge (Irish week) at Stepaside ETNS.
Each day one child was selected as 'Gaeilgóir an Lae' meaning 'Irish speaker of the day.' Everyone in 2nd class made an extra effort to use their Irish vocabulary this week which was great to see.
During the week we did a table quiz through Irish, watched a traditional Irish music performance and took part in a céilí (Irish dance) in the PE hall with the gaelscoil.
We also made some St. Patrick's day/Seachtain na Gaeilge-inspired art and learned some new Irish songs as well as the national rugby anthem 'Ireland's Call' ahead of the final match for Ireland in the Six Nations.
Have a great weekend everyone!
