In January, we explored poetry in Writing Workshop. We wrote lots of poems and explored limericks, couplets, quatrains and cinquains. We read lots of poems by famous poets too. We learned about rhyming patterns and worked independently and in groups.
The share session every day was a joy! We enjoyed listening, questioning and helping each other. We learned about the publishing process. We are putting the finishing touches to our poetry books this week and will share them here when they are finished. We are also planning to share our poems with other classes in the school. The talent in writing is incredible.
