Leona Griffin - Principal
I feel very lucky to be Principal of Stepaside Educate Together National School and to work with such a supportive Board of Management. Throughout my 15 years of teaching, I have always been passionate about creating a happy, welcoming environment where every child feels valued and encouraged to be themselves. The Educate Together values of equality, respect, and inclusivity are close to my heart and shape my own life. With our wonderful staff and families, I aim to nurture curiosity, confidence, and kindness, helping each child to reach their potential and enjoy a lifelong love of learning.
Kevin O’Donnell - Patron Nominee

I've been a member of the Board of Management since 2019. I live locally here in Stepaside and initially joined as a Parent Nominee when my two daughters attended the school. They are both attending Stepaside ETSS now, but I'm delighted to remain on the Board as a Patron Nominee. It's been great to see the school grow and flourish over the past few years and to work with the excellent school management team.
Subhashini Jayawardhana - Treasurer

I am honoured to join the Board of Management as Treasurer. With several years of experience in financial services, I am pleased to contribute my knowledge to support the school and its community. I look forward to working together to help the school continue to thrive.
Lisa Hild - Parent Nominee

My name is Lisa. Since my daughter, Alicia started in Stepaside ETNS in 2018, I have been a very active member of the Parents’ Association Committee and have been involved in numerous events throughout the years. In 2019, I was elected onto the Board of Management in 2019 and have been an active member over the last four years, throughout Covid and changes to the Board and school leadership. I believe very strongly in the values underpinning Educate Together schools. I have attended all Educate Together Training available to members of Boards of Management and have represented the school at two Educate Together AGMs in person as well as attending consultation sessions online during Covid. I feel that I still have a lot to give to this school and to the Board and since there has been so much change in the school and Board of Management in these four years, that is wonderful to be able to provide some continuity between the previous Board of Management and the next.
Jarrod Bromley - Parent Nominee

My name is Jarrod Bromley. I have my youngest daughter, Hazel in 3rd class B whilst my eldest, Hannah has just finished at the school, having moved to Stepaside ETSS. Originally from New Zealand, I've lived in Ireland since 2001 and I work in financial services. This is my second year on the Board of Management and i'm looking forward to continuing working with the board to help make our school the best it can be for the benefit of all our students, parents and the wider community.
Nathan Barrett - Community Nominee

My name is Nathan, I am currently Principal of Stratford College in Rathgar. I am also a Lecturer on the Professional Master of Education course in UCD, and a Placement Tutor with DCU. Before I became Principal I was a Music teacher and have authored two Music textbooks for Junior and Leaving Certificate. I am looking forward to working with the board in supporting the leadership, staff and students of SETNS.
Emma Doyle - Teacher Nominee

Hello! My name is Emma, and I have been teaching at Stepaside Educate Together National School since 2021 and I’m delighted to be part of the Board of Management. It’s a real privilege to work alongside such a wonderful group of board members, parents, staff and of course the wider community of SETNS. I care deeply about the values of Educate Together and I want every child in our school to feel happy, included and supported to do their best. Before joining Stepaside ETNS, I taught in schools in both Dublin and the UK. Those experiences gave me a broad perspective on education and showed me the importance of creating classrooms where children feel valued and enjoy learning. Being part of the Stepaside ETNS community is something I’m really proud of and I look forward to supporting our school as it continues to grow and thrive in the years ahead.
