Important update for SETNS from Bus Eireann: School Bus Application (Deadline this Friday)

The Parents Association Committee (PAC) would like to advise you of an important update if applying for a school bus service for SETNS. As previously advised this can be done through the Primary School Transport Scheme, operated by Bus Éireann on behalf of the Department of Education and Skills. If you are planning to apply for this service, please note that Bus Éireann is still displaying the old school address on their website. This means that, if you apply, you may see the following message ‘Preliminary Eligibility Result Not Eligible’ even though you may be eligible.

Bus Éireann has advised that if an applicant is returned this message, they should continue to apply for 'concessionary transport' to get applications in before the deadline date of Friday 27th April. Please see screenshot below. The school address is due to be updated shortly but it is unlikely to be done before this Friday’s deadline.

A PAC member has already applied for this service and has described the process as follows:

1. Fill in your personal details
2. Add your children
3. Click on 'Travel details'
4. Fill in the form (screenshot attached)
5. Even if it says “Not Eligible”, click 'Apply'
6. Select School
7. Go to family details to make payment
