Geography and science walk.

We went out for a science and geography walk on the last day before half term. We knew it was our last day of autumn in school this year so we looked for lots of signs of autumn, such as conkers, berries and falling leaves. It was quite easy to spot the evergreen and deciduous trees on our way. We also had a list of man made items in our school environment to look out for and tick off on our list. These included gates, walls and different modes of transport, like buses, bicycles and cars. This was the geography part of our walk. Despite the chilly weather the children were very enthusiastic about spotting the different items on their lists and this activity will have increased their awareness of their local environmental. 🍂 🍁
