Junior Infants have spent the last few weeks settling into life at SETNS!
We have been getting to know each other during circle time, as well as singing our days of the week song beautifully. We are focusing on matching objects in Maths and learning how to speak Gaeilge with our puppets, Seán and Síofra.
We have really enjoyed story time so far, especially when we read 'Cave Baby' by Julia Donaldson.

Junior Infants have been spending a lot of time outdoors this month in the unusually warm October sun!
We have played on our new yard equipment, practised for our Halloween walk and observed the signs of Autumn on our nature strolls.
November 2024
Junior Infants had so much fun learning about 'The Hospital' this month! Our classrooms became full of nurses and doctors, and the receptionists worked particularly hard to manage the level of patients checking in!
January 2025
We received 8 woodland trees to plant in our school garden. They are Alder, Hazel, Silver Birch, Rowan, Oak and Hawthorn. JIB had an exciting morning planting an oak tree with our caretaker Paul. Even the worms came out to help too!
Junior Infants made some wonderful artwork to celebrate Chinese New Year - Year of the Snake. Wishing you happiness, prosperity, and good fortune in the new year!
