Green Schools

Welcome to our Green Schools initiative!

Green-Schools is IrelandÍ›’s leading environmental management and award programme, working with primary and secondary schools across the country.

There are a number of themes it focuses on.

The Green Schools Committee was first formed in September 2017. The 2023/24 Green Schools Committee is being led by Ciarán, Aoife and Aoileann and has 10 pupils from 1st class- 6th class. Children are encouraged to become actively involved in our green team.

This year, as part of our commitment to environmental sustainability, we were thrilled to announce our efforts towards earning the prestigious Water Flag.

We launched an exciting Water Poster Competition, encouraging students to creatively express the importance of water conservation. Our focus on saving water is not only vital for our school but also for our entire locality, as we aim to reduce water waste and promote sustainable practices. This initiative will continue into next year, further embedding the values of environmental stewardship within our school community.

Join us as we make a difference, one drop at a time!
